Vietnamese President to visit Sri Lanka

Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang is scheduled to visitSri Lankatoday evening hours. The visit will be made upon an invitation extended by the Sri Lanka President and the Vietnamese President will be accompanied by some high level delegation.

There is an array of events scheduled during the Vietnamese President’s visit in view of expanding the bilateral relations, the government information department reports. There will be discussion forums, agreements and MoUs signed in a range of sectors such as political, defence, investment, finance, education etc.

Also, the Vietnamese President will be the chief guest of the opening of the Embassy of Vietnam inColombo.
