If our troops had not committed war crimes why do we have to worry ?
Pushing us into the war crime pit is only in the political conspiracy of America, Britain, Norway and other pro-LTTE elements. And madam Butenis is just shamelessly carrying out her assignments.

The headache with these Human Rights hypocrites is to know how the LTTE terrorists were killed. Not how the LTTE terrorists massacred innocent civilians. Nowhere in her confidential cables had Patricia Butenis mentioned about the Human Rights violations by the LTTE terrorists. Their concern on Human Rights has nothing to do with the ordinary Tamil civilians who truly suffered from terrorism. It’s just that the Western, European countries and pro-LTTE Tamil Diaspora have gone miserable with the massive defeat LTTE terrorists experienced. America, Britain or Norway never gave even a single bullet to fight against terrorism. Instead they nurtured LTTE terrorists in their soil.

At one point, madam Butenis seem to be giving a clue.
“There are no examples we know of a regime undertaking wholesale investigations of its own troops or senior officials for war crimes while that regime or government remained in power.”

Isn’t this a clue that until the present government is in power, there will not be any investigations carried out about the alleged war crimes ? What madam Butenis is trying to here is, if this government is removed and a western-ally came into power then the West can prosecute President Rajapaksa, his family and security forces on war crimes?

Will the Sri Lankans allow it to happen ? They had given a clear answer during the recent elections and hopefully madam Butenis can keep accusing forever.

The above statement would also have been on madam Butenis’s own experience as well.
When she was the American Ambassador in Afghanistan, her disgusting regime turned a blind eye for the mass killings committed by their own troops in spite of having ample amount of concrete evidence. In the guise of confronting terrorism, their failed troops destroyed villages in wholesale.
How can America conduct investigations on their troop’s war crimes while they are sponsoring the killings ?

America and so called “powerful” countries are very good in blowing their own horns. It is a not a surprise that Patricia Butenis have not heard a President who’s ready to face any International tribunal on his country’s behalf. Because Butenis only knows about Barack Obama who grabbed the Nobel Peace Prize for doing “absolutely nothing” !
